Marketing Companies Launched

Three new national marketing companies have been launched: Agri-trade Ltd in Kenya, Agricultural Business Development Company in Tanzania and AGRINET in Uganda.

Visit to FAO and IFAD

Ueli Scheuermier, Clive Lightfoot and Paul Nyende met in Rome to develop the new contracting arrangements for the Rural Knowledge Network with the FAO. They also met with IFAD to discuss further the documentation to promote the operations of the Market Access Companies through newspapers and radio.
